We want to further increase the share of renewable energy to 85% by 2030 in the Group, among other things through the gradual expansion of photovoltaics as well as the use of green electricity.
In the area of internal goods logistics, we have set ourselves the goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030 as well. Here, we rely on optimised and efficient production planning as well as partnerships with freight companies providing alternative forms of mobility.
We take measures to prevent losses of plastic and raw materials through optimisation processes, information campaigns, training and tours.
In a manufacturing company of our size, there is also production waste that occurs during production switches and cleaning processes. We collect and separate these high-quality materials by type and prepare them mechanically for further use. Our goal is to be able to reuse 90% of our waste.
Since 2020, ten bee colonies with around 400,000 bees have been located at our headquarters in Austria. With this project, we aim to actively contribute to promoting biodiversity and protecting native insect species.
Our bees are cared for throughout the year by our partner, Imkerei Bienenfink. Their professional support ensures that the colonies develop healthily and are well adapted to seasonal changes.
Bees play a vital role in our ecosystem. They are essential for pollination and therefore contribute significantly to maintaining natural cycles. At the same time, they symbolize the balance between nature and sustainable action.
With our bee project at the headquarters, we want to raise awareness of the importance of these small but indispensable creatures while making a tangible contribution to their protection.
In recognition of our commitment, we have been awarded the “Bee-Friendly Company” certification multiple times.
Even if our contribution may seem small in the bigger picture, we are convinced: sustainability starts on a small scale – and every initiative counts.
